I am a bass player from Mexico, currently working as a session musician playing a wide variety of genres going from gypsy jazz and reggae all the way to prog/metal. In this arrangement I tried to achieve a contemporary sound using a variety of right hand techniques, but keeping it as musical and true to the original melody as I could. Instead of playing the melody as written, I slowed it down and tried to play with the subdivisions in between every melody note. Also I changed the time signature to 4/4 to get quite a "strong" downbeat on the "A" section but then again, at the end of the piece I changed it to 7/8 while trying to make it not as obvious, I hope you like it!
